This is a 1-2 day prototype for a puzzle interaction mechanic.

How to:

  • Tap any tile next to the player character
  • From there, you need to select tiles going UP in numerical sequence (the numbers wrap around, so you can go from 5 back to 1 and keep going)
  • You can select tiles that are adjacent or diagonal to the last tile in the sequence
  • Tap the last tile in the sequence to unselect it
  • When you have finished selecting your sequence, press "Go" to make your move and collect the score
  • Try to make the longest sequence you can - the score for each tile in a sequence goes up exponentially!
  • The game is currently endless


In terms of gameplay, the idea would be for the player to make as many "rainbows" (i.e. full sequences of 5 colours) as possible and/or score as much as possible, either in a limited time or limited number of moves. Other mechanics (power ups, additional tile types, etc) would be added in later levels to build up complexity.
